The wildflowers are out at last and the bees are very busy. Wish you were here to share the picnic. Back on Sunday, with stories.

Printing both sides
The postcard prints as two pages at its exact size: the picture side first, then the writing side. With a printer that prints on both sides, choose two-sided printing and flip on the short edge. Otherwise print page 1, put the card back in the tray picture side down, and print page 2; a test on plain paper shows which way round your printer needs it. Use card stock or 4 × 6 in photo-card stock your printer can take, at 100% scale.
Picture, message and address
Fill the card crops a photo to cover the whole front; show it all keeps the full picture with a paper border. Pick which part to keep in view if the crop cuts off a face. The back has your message on the left and four address lines on the right under a stamp box. Leave the message empty to get ruled lines for handwriting. If the card is going through the post, check your postal service's size limits and stamp price for postcards before you print a batch.
Questions
Why does my postcard print smaller than the paper?
The page is set to the postcard size. If you print on Letter or A4 paper, the printer places the postcard on the sheet; trim along its edge, or load postcard-size card instead.
Can I use a portrait photo?
Yes. It is cropped to the landscape card when you fill the card, or shown whole with a border if you choose Show it all.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. It is shown straight from your device and forgotten when you leave the page. Your message and address are kept in this browser's local storage.
