How to print on envelopes
- Choose the envelope size, or Custom size and type its width and height. The page is set to exactly that size, so your printer treats each envelope as its own sheet.
- Paste the addresses. Each address, separated by an empty line, becomes one envelope, and the whole list prints in one go.
- Do a test print on plain paper with the envelope edge drawn. Hold it against an envelope, or cut it to size, and use the nudge boxes if the address needs to move.
- Feed real envelopes through your printer's envelope or manual feed, flap closed, as its manual shows, and print at 100% scale.
Where the address goes
The recipient's address starts a little right of centre and never higher than 2¾ inches from the bottom edge. That keeps it inside the area the US Postal Service recommends for letters, where its sorting machines read addresses: at least ½ inch from each side and no lower than ⅝ inch from the bottom. The return address sits in the top-left corner, clear of the stamp. Every printer feeds envelopes a little differently, which is why the test print comes first.

Questions
My printer puts the address in the wrong place. What can I do?
Use the nudge boxes to move it a few millimetres at a time, and check your print settings: paper size set to the envelope, scale 100%, and the envelope loaded the way the printer's manual shows.
Can I print addresses for a whole guest list?
Yes. Paste them all with an empty line between addresses. Each one gets its own page, and the count under the preview tells you how many envelopes to load.
Will the handwriting-style lettering get my mail delivered?
It is clear and printed, not scrawled, but plain classic lettering is the safer choice for mail that goes through sorting machines.
